Not sure if this will help, but we use hosted Exchange and I was able to delete a message recall attempt. You have the right permissions in the Exchange Admin Roles section of the O365 admin panel, which no account has by default - the Mailbox Search and Mailbox Import/Export permissions.From there you use the. You'll want to look for messages with 'Recall:' in the subject.

Messages can only be recalled from other Uwindsor Office 365 users, not external accounts or student UwinGmail account. Messages can only be recalled if they have not been read. The user from whom you are recalling the message must be using Outlook for Windows, and have Outlook open at the time of recall.

As far as I know, that's pretty much all a recall attempt is. Just another email with that formatting added that Outlook is programmed to recognize.

Sorry, I never got a notification about a reply:(Just in case you're still dealing with this, Search-Mailbox won't be added as a command unless you're logged in as an account that has been assigned Mailbox Search permissions. You also need Mailbox Import Export permissions to be able to run the command with the -DeleteContent flag. These are set in the Exchange Admin Roles area of O365's Exchange admin center, and need to be explicitly set - just logging in with an admin account won't let you use Search-Mailbox, for instance.
