Get Error While Trying To Send Money As A Gift On Paypal

To send an instant transfer, click 'Send Money' on PayPal. Enter the recipient and amount of the payment, and press 'Continue.' Before sending the payment, click 'Change' under Payment Method and pick 'Instant Transfer.' This method requires a credit or debit card tied to your PayPal account.

So can someone catch me up? It's been a few months since I made an eBay purchase. The last time, I selected checkout - and was able to bypass the Paypal screen and just use a credit card as a guest through Paypal to pay for my purchase. I have done it this way for years - foregoing the option of setting up a Paypal account. Several years ago I had a Paypal account, and in one year had my account hacked three times.

They were always great about fixing things, but I got tired of the hassle and just closed down the account. I do NOT want a Paypal account. I just want to be able to purchase with my credit card. I've been able to do this all the time - until today. Now I get the message: We can't process your PayPal payment. If you get this message more than once, please contact for further assistance. I don't have a Paypal account, so why do I need to contact their Customer Support?Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I don't think that article from 2012 is relevant in this case as that was before the split and the new checkout function. There are so many reports lately of people not being able to check out that it's hard to even guess what the problem is. One odd thing about this particular case is the fact that OP had a PayPal account but closed it. I'm wondering if maybe they didn't actually close it or it somehow got reactivated and the credit card they are trying to use is one they had on their PayPal account. Although I can't see the reasoning behind it, you can't check out using the credit card option if that card is listed on your PayPal account. If OP really did close out the PayPal account I wouldn't think calling them would help even though PP processes the CC option payments. Not having a PP account they wouldn't have an account for them to check. The only advice I can offer OP is, make sure the CC (not a debit or pre paid card) is still valid, try a different CC if you have one, check your zip code in your profile and make sure the seller ships to your location. Then call eBay if all else fails.

Andy's post discusses. 1) Security model, 2) Identity validation, 3) Communication error, and 4) Funding source denial as possible reasons for a payment failure. All of those possibilities are still relevant today. Here's a quote from the last paragraph of Andy's post.'

Kotor sound mod. Currently there are two others on the team but the plan is to expand to 15.' Six months of 'true work', said Trotter, and most of it by him alone - he being an inexperienced and self-taught game designer, although a motivated one at that. Are done and all we have to do is build on top of that.' What has been done, then?

So this is it. The greatest hits of payment denials. Of course there will always be the one-off situations that don't quite fit into one of these situations, but the moral of this post, if there is one, is to give us a call if you're having problems. We definitely want you to make your payments - it's kinda what we're here for after all. And while it may seem like there's many things keeping you from doing that, know that if it's possible we'll make it happen. We would just ask for your understanding when we run up against something that stops us all.' When a person doesn't have a PayPal account, the person can still call PayPal Customer Support by using the 'Help Center as a Guest' link on this page.Other contact options are Twitter via @AskPayPal or Private Message on PayPal's Facebook page at.

I'm right there with you. PayPal and EBay will not solve this problem. I have never been more aggravated in my life! I just keep calling, and even before the idiots on the other end of the line can say anything, I say it before they do. Then I pretty much scream at them cause I lose my mind everytime cause I think I have just won a great bid only to find out I have to contact the seller to say I'm sorry and to remove the item from my cart.

Totally helping my status too! On top of that, I talked to a supervisor who just told me I had to wait. I even made PayPal email the seller. Well, after all that.nothing! She told me to ask the seller if I could do it NOT through PayPal.

They will not put you through to someone who can fix the problem. They will blame eBay, eBay will blame PayPal. It's like a he said she said nightmare.

Oh yeah, they have also verified that it was me 10 times at least. It even gets better though.they have been in direct contact with the seller while I'm on the phone and they are making up these crazy excuses!!!

'Oh I see here, there are flags on your account cause you tried to buy this more than once.' Well no.bleep. Sherlock!!! I won the bid and I have to pay this guy!!! Another one is, 'wait 24 hours for the system to reset itself.' Ok, then I call them cause it doesn't work again. 'I don't see anything wrong, I'm pretty sure it's eBay.call them.'

It is a nightmare. PayPal and eBay.I hope another company steps in and destroys you!!!

If you get this message more than once, please contact for further assistance. I don't have a Paypal account, so why do I need to contact their Customer Support?Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.Hey there, while there can be a variety of reasons that this error may happen, PayPal will be the best equippred to help you troubleshoot. Since you have stated you've been using a guest account for your purchases over the last couple of years, you may have hit their limit on the number of guest accounts you can create.

There will be a point when a full account is required to continue to use their service. Touch base with PayPal customer service and be sure to give us an update. We definitely want to look into any checkout issues that may be happening on our end! TAMMY.Customer support s not telling you this.

But I think the cause is that PP has a LIMIT to how many CC transactions they will handle for you-IF you do not currently have a PayPal account with them. I saw many posts like this a few years ago from buyers who were used to using their CC to pay-then suddenly PP told them-they had reached a Limit -they would NOT be allowed to do this any more UNLESS they finally did open a PP account. The good news was that once they opened that Account-they WOULD be allowed to use their CC again-for their payments. So I think you should just open a PP account-and then you can get back to normal. Wrote:wrote:NO NO and NOThis is an internal error that ebay refuses to fix. Somehow your paypal account is linked to your ebay account and the Paypal account has problems. There is no way to logout or create a new one or fix this. Ive tried many times. The poeple here saying call paypal are just as incompetent.

PayHpal will tell you 'clear your catch, and your cookies' 'did you try logging out' 'contact ebay serive'Its a joke. The OP already said she hasn't had a PP account for several years.Absolutely Horrible - I have had a headache trying to make a payment on bids I've won the past week. Paypal says it's eBay, eBay says it's Paypal. Shame on both!

I started to have the same problem one week ago, and i have been trying to pay for an xbox one console, that i won on auction. I haven´t been able to do so, it´s been imposible, i have a paypal account, but even having it doesn´t help at all with this issue, and i was using my CC normally and no i get the message to use a different card, which is stupid. That card is all ready on my paypal account, in other words i´ve been trying to pay fo the item in so many ways and always getting the same messages. I dont see any solution or fix at least for now whis is nonsense, because whats the idea? To stop using ebay? This really annoying and uncomfortable. Now what, i ask?

This is ridiculous and absurd, this doesn´t make any sense at all on business. I dont like amazon a bit, and i was really happy as an ebay user and customer, my feedback as a buyer which is what i do is 100% positive, so that doesnt mean anything?Really disappointed and frustrated. DEC 1 2016 I have this same problem, constantly recieve a message and cannot process payment.I am trying to process a credit card on the ebay checkout without using paypal funds because my ebay purchase is not related to the buisness activity of my paypal buisness account.Things I have tried that do not work, but might work for you:1. Phone Paypal (Paypal is CC process server for ebay when you dont pay with a paypal account)3.

Use a differnt computer, Use a tablet with a different operating system.4. Use a different browser5. Clear cache, clear SSL state6. Verify billing address on ebay.AND.

paypal7. Change shiping address to match billing address.8. Use a different CC9.

Contact CC (CC states no inquiries were recieved indicating a failure to process the card by ebay or paypal.)10. Use an alternate website such as Ebay.ca or Ebay.com11. Un-link and re-link Paypal account to ebay. Some ideas that might work which i have yet to try.1. Use a paypal invoice from the seller2. Temporarily send a payment of my paypal ballance to my friend to zero out my paypal ballance, then bill my paypal account whereby paypal will bill my CC for funds, then have the friend refund the payment forcing paypal to bill the CC without using paypal funds as the source of payment.3. March to EBAY corperate office in california with cash in hand.

4 shares.I came across this post that I wrote 2 years ago, almost to the exact day – 10/11/11! I think you’ll find this info helpful if you use Paypal to make and receive payments.I’ve been using PayPal for both business and personal transactions for years. And I’ve been bitten by the transaction fees. Those fees may be little but they add up over time.I don’t mind as much if it’s a business transaction because you can write the PayPal fees off as a business expense. But for personal transactions, I’d rather not pay a fee. Currently, the PayPal fee for personal transactions is.Although PayPal does make it convenient to do things like split a restaurant bill, pay your share of the rent, pay someone back for money you owe, or chipping in on a gift. There’s no excuse for someone not to pay you back because they didn’t see you in person.

That’s what makes PayPal great.Recently, I learned that you can avoid the transaction fee for personal transactions. Usually, the person who receives payment incurs a PayPal fee. I did a little trial and error to figure out how it works. How to Avoid Fees for Personal Transactions:. When you go to send money select the Personal Tab. Then click Other in the Personal Tab. I don’t know if it really matters if you select other or another option, as long as it’s in the Personal Tab.

I selected Payment Owed and it still work. But some people swear by the Other option. When you select your payment option, use a checking account, PayPal balance, or a combination of both. This is the key to avoiding fees!. DO NOT use a credit card or even a PayPal credit card!

If you do so, the person receiving the payment will incur the PayPal fee!. International transfers will also incur a fee no matter what.Note: This only applies if both the sender and receiver are in the same country and you don’t have to do a currency conversion. See this for more info.I also learned how to set up a recurring payment without the monthly $20 fee. I called PayPal to ask for alternatives to the fee and the customer service person gave me this good tip. You will have to set up a PayPal business account which is free. How to Set Up a Recurring Payment for Free:. Go to Merchant Services. Under Create Buttons, select Subscribe.

Enter an item name. Enter billing amount.

Select billing cycle by day, week, month, or year. Click on Create Button. Copy and paste HTML code to your website.Note: The transaction fee may still apply when you receive payments.Featured in the hosted.
