Preferably those which give a fuller RPG type experience.I've seen some on mod-db, such as the cRPG mod (which seems to be online?).I just got Warband in the steam sale and have found it to be pretty fun (Fire and Blade is unsatisfying and poorly balanced) but would like to expand it. No mod makes it more rpg like.What I can recommend and not feel like an asshole afterwards:-1755 Old Frontier: Interesting and if you wanted to play with muskets definitely it should be considered.-Diplomacy: This expands all court relations, adding new positions and options (I almost felt like a lord in Europa Universalis III. Almost)-Europe 1200: Basically this is the mod for more historical factions and stuff. Might want to see but it doesn't change much gameplay wise.-Battle Time! - The co-op mod: If you have some friends to lan with, it's definitely a great idea to use this.-Brytenwalda: Another historical one.

This time dark ages England.-Terra Aeterna: What if dragon age items copulate with warhammer armours and mount and blade? You get this poor mutant. Still, it's the one I'm currently playing.-Sword of Damocles: Warlords: Another 'kingdom options expanded' mod, this time adding a roman invasion late game and multitude of management options. Think Diplomacy -a bit of diplomacy +other little things about managing kingdoms and stuff.

Good time to start because of all the new players. You won't ever find players on the local cRPG server and it's not that good anyway (3/4 of the playerbase larps either ninja or samurai). Full Invasion is a fun multiplayer mod and there's sometimes people on the server. The best mod for M&B is the 1866 mod. Unfortunately, I don't think it's been ported for Warband. I consider it's gunplay far superior to that found in WFaS.For Warband, Prophecy of Pendor is really good.

Adds some storyline background to the conflict you've been dumped in and adds a lot of darn tough unaffiliated parties for you to pick fights with.My only complaint is that it has loads and loads and loads of heavily armoured troops you pretty much need enormous twohanders or couched lance charges to dispose of. They went overboard on the armour, I think, especially considering how rare heavily armoured troops were in days of olde. Prophecy of Pendor-This has already been touched on. Get it, and avoid the Noldor like the plague until you're at least strong enough to take a castle. Maybe then you'll only die kinda horribly.Blood and Steel-A modified version of Native.
